Our volunteers are an amazing group of people! We want to be able to provide them with an opportunity to come to our activity centre, not to volunteer for a change, but to use the facilities for themselves. A chance for us to reward them with a weekend full of activities.
In recent months The Exodus Project has lost a substantial amount of funding from two large Trusts and Foundations, not because they don't believe in the work we do but because for a number of years they've been encouraging us to become self-sustaining. This means all our activity weekends now have to be funded through money we raise. Our activity weekends are important to the work we do and valued immensely by the children and young people. Our Volunteers are integral to our work and without them we simply could not continue. A large percentage of our volunteers are aged between 14 and 18 years old so are still young people themselves. Each year we aim to provide a camp for them too as a way of saying thank you for all their hard work and to give them a chance to get away from every day stresses of school, college and exams. This fantastic group of people deserve a weekend dedicated to them, please help us to give them it.
