The EXODUS Project is a children’s charity, with a Christian ethos, based in Barnsley South Yorkshire, registered with the Charity Commission in June 2002. Charity number 1118191.

We are seeking a part-time Assistant Project Worker (15 hours per week) to support our activities with children and young people in Barnsley.

You will be involved in supporting activity clubs for 8-11 year olds, as well as older youth groups. Our established clubs run varied programmes, which include sports, crafts, music, drama, dance and teaching on citizenship issues. The post holder will also be involved in our visiting teams, which go out weekly to do door step visits, to meet with parents and carers so we remain accountable. In addition, the post holder will support weekend camps at our centre, called Jenny’s Field, in South Hiendley. The role will require domestic and administrative tasks, in preparation for all the above activities.

The successful applicant will have experience of work with children and young people. They will also have good organisational and administrative skills. A full UK driving licence is desirable, but not essential.

The role is for 15 hours per week to be worked flexibly over 3 days, (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) some evenings, with very occasional weekends as well, if accrued time permits.
