Volunteer Activities

Volunteering for Exodus is rewarding and fun. In exchange for giving of your time and talents to help our activities, you will become part of a “family” that values it’s members and invests in their lives. Here’s what we’ve been doing recently to build the sense of family and develop those who give so much to making us a success:

Film Night at Jenny’s Field

All our volunteers were invited to a film night at Jenny’s Field where we enjoyed Chinese Food and social time together. Hunger Games was the film…not to everyones taste but given that most of those present were junior volunteers…it seemed to go down well.

Training

Regular training is key to our success. We are very keen to ensure that our volunteers are confident in their roles and they are developing their skills and experiences. Training on Safeguarding was as ever a key subject at the last event in September. Like all our training events, we combine education with fun activitiers and games. “Exodus has got Talent” (sorry) was the activity that saw our volunteers leading games and presentations for the rest of the group, as a way of developing their skills and confidence when delivering our activity programmes.
