This has a number of aspects to it, including working with St George’s Church Food Bank speaking with those in need and offering support where we can.
We also do a 6 week Family Cohesion Connection programme where parents/carers take part in sessions around Mental Wellbeing, Physical Health & Wellbeing, Diet & Nutrition and many more. This programme is there to support parents/carers in their role as a care giver, to give them support and guidance and affirm that they are not alone in the community. Our 6 week programme also comes with two excursions, both are done as a family. The first one is to Jenny’s Field where you will take part in family activities provided by us. The second, which is at the end of the programme will be a family trip out, to the coast or something similar.
Another aspect of our Family Work, which hasn’t begun yet, is a Grow and Cook programme where families will grow their own food in a local allotment provided by us and then be given recipes and lessons in how to use the food they have grown.
